FOLIAGE: Large fan shaped leaves have 11 – 13 lobes. Pale yellow in spring, darkening to yellow green in summer. Turning gold on the inside with red margins on the outside in autumn. Colours best in cool climates.

TOLERANCES: Like most Japanese Maples, this tree requires adequate Summer watering and mulching with an .organic material (e.g. sugar cane mulch) Prefers a position sheltered from harsh heat & hot winds. Likes a moist, slightly acidic, well drained soil. Frost tolerant
TREE CARE: Grow in a moist but well-drained soil. Water in summer. Leaf scorch can be caused by lack of soil moisture or excessive exposure
