Acer palmatum dissectum – Viridis – Green Weeping Maple

WIDTH: 2.0-3.0m

FORM: Weeping standard
FOLIAGE: Bronze new growth matures to a mid to bright green. Five point, finely dissected palmate leaves. Autumn colour becomes reds and oranges depending on the climate. Brighter colours will occur in colder areas.
FLOWERS: Insignificant but small red bead like flowers in spring appear underneath the foliage
DESCRIPTION: Japanese Maples make wonderful feature trees due to their form, leaf shape and colour. They are ideally placed courtyards or gardens with protection from full sun and hot winds.
LANDSCAPE USES: Feature
TOLERANCES: Prefers being planted in a protected area of the landscape away from full sun and hot summer winds that can stress the tree. Prefers a moist, well drained soil.
TREE CARE: Keep well watered especially during summer to prevent scorched leaves. Mulch well and apply a slow release fertiliser in early spring.
