DESCRIPTION: Known for one of the best autumn colour variety within the Japanese maples. It has a broad vase shaped growth habit usually multi-stemmed.
LANDSCAPE USES: A good selection in small to large gardens and landscapes where contrast colour is required. Can be grown in containers.
TOLERANCES: On of the more hardy varieties of Japanese maples and can handle the sun more than most. Tolerates most soils once established but prefers a moist well drained soil. Protect from hot winds.
TREE CARE: Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
