Berry – Loganberry Thornless

This is a cross between a Blackberry and a Raspberry.

FRUIT: Large aromatic purple red berries grown on a thornless vine. They can grow up to 3cm long.
POLLINATION: Self pollinating

DESCRIPTION: Fruit has a sharp tart flavour which is most suited to cooking or for jam. Pick when fully ripe. Loganberries are very high in vitamin C.
TOLERANCES:
TREE CARE: Plant in a well drained sunny position with well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until vine is established. Fertilise when planting and again after new growth appears in Spring. Trim new Spring growth to 20-30cm to encourage branching, train onto wire or trellis. Cut out old canes.
