DESCRIPTION: Popular ornamental deciduous tree, with deeply lobed mid-green leaves, turning to golden yellow in autumn. Upright pyramidal tree, with branches growing upwards from the trunk, but drooping at the tips, giving a lovely graceful effect. Trunk and branches bare an attractive silver white bark.
LANDSCAPE USES: Popular ornamental tree for large or small gardens. Excellent feature tree or plant in groups to create a forest effect.
TOLERANCES: Frost tolerant, not suited to very hot dry climates.
TREE CARE: Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
