FORM: Dense round headed tree.
FOLIAGE: Deeply lobed, green glossy leaves. Leaves turn attractive shades of orange and red in Autumn.
FLOWERS: Clusters of clear bright scarlet-red double flowers in Summer, followed by bright red fruits.
DESCRIPTION: A very hardy, dense, round-headed deciduous tree growing to a height of 5 metres. The branches have minimal thorns and deeply lobed, green glossy leaves. Leaves turn attractive shades of orange and red in Autumn. Branches will be smothered with clusters of clear bright scarlet-red double flowers in Summer, followed by bright red fruits.
LANDSCAPE USES: Very attractive specimen tree, can be trimmed as a hedge or used as a windbreak.
TOLERANCES: Suitable to most soil types including clay, prefers a well drained spot in full sun. Frost hardy
TREE CARE: Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
