LANDSCAPE USES: Commonly used to line paths & driveways to create a formal look. Can be used as entrance trees on either side of a doorway or opening and against a feature wall of a garden. If planted very close, glauca can be used as a narrow, dense screen. Can be grown in containers.
TOLERANCES: Prefers a position in full sun & moist, well-drained soil but will tolerate a wide range of soils & conditions. Drought tolerant once established & relatively tolerant of coastal conditions. Will withstand mild frosts.
TREE CARE:Â Little to no pruning required to maintain the upright & narrow habit of the Glauca pencil pine. For best results, feed in Spring with a slow release fertilizer.
