FOLIAGE: The Jacaranda tree displays soft green, fern-like foliage which is displayed year round. However, the trees may shed their foliage in colder climates.

DESCRIPTION: The Jacaranda Tree displays a prolific summer blossom of purple bell-shaped blooms. They are a standout specimen tree in any medium-large garden, spreading almost as wide as the tree grows tall.

TOLERANCES: Jacaranda’s thrive in fertile, well-drained soils in a sunny position and have been known to if situated in heavy, wet soils. Young plants will defoliate in colder climates where frosts are frequent however will re-shoot in mid-spring. Drought toleratant for short periods of time.
TREE CARE: Young plants may defoliate in winter especially in areas where frosts are prominent. Prune any blackened shoots from the tree which will re-shoot in mid-spring.
