FORM:Â Compact and globose. Multi-stemmed.
FOLIAGE:Â Dark green turning bright reddish-maroon in autumn. New growth bronzy.
FLOWERS and FRUIT:Â Numerous bright fuchsia-pink to reddish coloured flowers borne in panicles to 20 cm long and 17 cm wide in mid-summer to early autumn. Flowers for up to 75 days in warmer areas.
BARK:Â Cinnamon coloured bark, exfoliating (after about three years) to reveal a lighter, creamy tone underbark.
GROWTH RATE:Â Slow to moderate.

TOLERANCES:Â Adaptable to a range of conditions, best in moist, well drained, slightly acidic soils in a position receiving full sun. Good to moderate drought and heat tolerance. Resistant to powdery mildew.
TREE CARE:Â The removal of spent inflorescences during autumn or winter can promote greater flower production the following summer. Transplants easily
