FOLIAGE:Â Dark bronze foliage becomes darker green with maturity and turns to orange shades during Autumn.
FLOWERS:Â An abundance of frilly white flowers during Summer and Autumn.
BARK:Â Exfoliating bark after approximately 3 years, which reveals a rusty-brown underbark.
DESCRIPTION:Â This hardy Crepe myrtle has an abundance of frilly white flowers during Summer and Autumn. Foliage is dark bronze becoming darker green with maturity and turning to orange shades during Autumn. Also has attractive smooth mottled grey bark on the trunk. The extremities of the branches can become pendulous, giving a slight weeping effect which is complemented by the prolific bloom in Summer & Autumn.
TOLERANCES:Â This variety is mildew resistant. Prefers well-drained rich soil in a sunny position. Tolerate of a range of conditions including heat & some dryness, but will need adequate moisture during establishment.
TREE CARE:Â Plant in a well-drained and well-worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep the soil moist until the tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
