A wonderful, medium-sized feature tree displaying prolific hot-pink blooms in Summer and Autumn. In late Autumn the foliage changes to reds and oranges. Tuscarora Crepe Myrtle is fast-growing and tolerant of most conditions.

DESCRIPTION: The prolific flowers of the Tuscarora Crepe Myrtle and highly ornamental bark make this tough small tree a stunning specimen for any size garden.
LANDSCAPE USES: A stunning feature tree in any size garden due to its relatively small size. Is often used in street plantings & as a specimen tree in parks & gardens. Mass planting creates a stunning avenue or driveway feature.
TOLERANCES: A tough variety, tolerant of most conditions including heat, drought and urban environments including pollution. Prefers well-drained rich soil in a sunny position. The Indian Summer range of Crepe Myrtles, including Tuscarora, are resistant to powdery mildew.  Pruning is recommended to develop strong growth, and to remove dead flower heads, as crepe myrtles flower on new seasons growth. Removing spent flowers will encourage further flowering the following year.
TREE CARE:Â Plant in a well-drained and well-worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep the soil moist until the tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune the tree when planting to encourage new growth.
