FORM: Vase shaped becoming rounded with a short trunk.
FOLIAGE: Leaves emerge a shiny green, dark above with lighter tones on the undersides.
FLOWERS and FRUIT: Sweetly scented pretty, goblet shaped, ivory white flowers in late winter to early Spring before the foliage. Will flower in about 3 years.

GROWTH RATE: Slow
DESCRIPTION: Upright, deciduous magnolia. Irregular medium domed crown to about 5-6m. Beautiful creamy white flowers appear before the leaves
LANDSCAPE USES: Shallow rooted, suitable for planting near buildings.
TOLERANCES: Prefers an acid soil with good drainage and shelter from wind, so that flowers are not damaged while blooming. Tolerates light frost
TREE CARE: Fertilize and prune to shape after flowering if required. Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
