FLOWERS: Single pink-white flowers appear in abundant clusters in mid-spring. Buds appear bright crimson and open to soft pink & white.
FRUIT: Insignificant. Small, yellow & red.
DESCRIPTION: A very attractive tree when in full bloom with masses of white and reddish-pink flowers in spring. An attractive focal point for gardens and parks where there is space for the tree to attain its natural form. Tolerates warmer areas well.
LANDSCAPE USES: Excellent flowering tree suitable for most gardens.
TOLERANCES: Adaptable to a wide range of conditions including warmer environments. Reasonably tolerant of dry conditions once established.
TREE CARE: Flowering and fruit display best in full sun. Best in deep, rich, well drained soil. Resistant to apple scab and powdery mildew and requires little or no spraying.
