A Greek olive variety used for oil and fruit, generally harvested black.

FRUIT:Â Large fruit. Holds on the tree until late in the year.

MATURITY:Â Mid autumn to early winter.
DESCRIPTION:Â A good bearing tree with a large Kalamata style olive and good oil content. A highly ornamental variety.
TOLERANCES: Prefers a humus rich soil with good drainage but will tolerate poor, low nutrient soils. Performs best in cool winters and hot dry. humid free summers. Tolerant of frost, drought, and coastal conditions. Plant in full sun out of strong winds.
TREE CARE:Â Generally very low maintenance. Can be kept trimmed to hedge if required. Stake well in windy areas. Feed in early spring or summer with an all purpose fertiliser or one specifically for fruiting trees.
PESTS AND DISEASES:Â Generally problem free.
