FORM:Â Upright to spreading forming a rounded, small tree
GROWTH RATE: Moderate to Fast
FOLIAGE:Â Dark green leaves with finely serrated margins, new growth is a bronzy-green. Autumn tones of orangey-yellow to bronzy-red
FLOWERS:Â Semi-double, pink buds open slowly & become chartreuse-green & fade to near white with a pink tinge. Appearing in mid-late Spring.
DESCRIPTION: A strong growing, semi-double flowering cherry with a unique, delicate floral display and pleasant autumn foliage colour. A welcome addition to smaller parks and gardens.
LANDSCAPE USES: Excellent flowering tree suitable for most gardens.
TOLERANCES: Quite adaptable to a varied site conditions, but prefers moist, well drained fertile soils and a position receiving full sun to part-shade. Flowers best in full sun.
TREE CARE: Plant in full sun in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union above the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune tree when planting to encourage new growth.
