FORM: Upright rounded shrub.

FOLIAGE: Green heart shaped leaves.
FLOWERS: Soft mauve-blue single flowers. Strong fragrance.
DESCRIPTION: A small to medium deciduous shrub. Purple-pink buds open to attractive soft mauve-blue, single flowers in spring.
LANDSCAPE USES: Most suited to use in small gardens or parks for shrub borders or as a screening plant.
TOLERANCES: Plant in full sun, Prune after flowering. Annual mulching and fertilizer in autumn recommended, with summer watering required.
TREE CARE: Plant in a well drained and well worked soil. Take care to plant the bud union approximately 5 to 10cm BELOW the soil level. Water in well and keep soil moist until tree is established. Fertilize when planting and again after new growth appears. Prune to shape if necessary.
